Abstract

Un método para la supresion de formacion de polvo en un material mineral en partículas, material mineral en partículas que ha sido separado del agua de una suspension de dicho material, que comprende los pasos de transferencia de la suspension de material mineral en partículas en forma de fluido a un área de deposicion y en el cual se deja que la suspension repose y se separe el agua en el área de deposicion para formar un material mineral en partículas desprovisto de agua, donde la supresion de la formacion de polvo del material se obtiene mediante la adicion de una cantidad adecuada para suprimir el polvo de un polímero a la suspension del material mineral en partículas mientras se está transfiriendo el mismo en forma de fluido al área de deposicion, donde el polímero es un polímero sintético hidrosoluble formado con uno o más monomeros etilénicamente insaturados con una viscosidad intrínseca de por lo menos 4 dl/g o un polímero hidrosoluble que es un polímero natural o un polímero seminatural.
