Abstract

Una unidad silenciadora para un motor de uso general incluye un silenciador (40) que presenta un laberinto de cámaras atenuadoras de ruido (101, 102, 105) definidas en el mismo y un cano de entrada (85) dispuesto dentro del silenciador. El cano de entrada presenta un extremo abierto (106) conectado con un puerto de escape del motor mediante un cano de escape (43), un extremo cerrado (107) opuesto al extremo abierto, y perforaciones (108) provistas cerca del extremo abierto y que conectan un espacio interno del cano de entrada y una primera cámara atenuadora de ruidos (101). El extremo cerrado del cano de entrada se encuentra expuesto al aire exterior, de manera que los gases de escape se refrigeran cuando los gases inciden sobre el extremo cerrado del cano de entrada.
