Abstract
Un sistema de motor / generador eléctrico incluye un motor de combustion interna, un generador eléctrico primario impulsado por un eje de salida del motor y que provee energía eléctrica. Un turbocargador tiene una primera turbina impulsada por los gases de escape provenientes del motor y un compresor impulsado por la primera turbina y provee aire de entrada al motor. El sistema también incluye una turbina secundaria y una línea de escape que comunica el gas de escape de la primera turbina con una entrada de la turbina secundaria. Un generador eléctrico secundario es impulsado por la turbina secundaria.
