Abstract

Uso de compuestos de ciclopentano y ciclopentanona substituidos para la fabricacion de un medicamento para el tratamiento del glaucoma o de la hipertension ocular en un mamífero, dichos compuestos comprenden la formula (1), o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable o un profármaco o un metabolito de los mismos; donde Y es un grupo funcional ácido orgánico, o una amida o éster de los mismos con hasta 12 átomos de carbono; o Y es hidroximetil o un éter de los mismos con hasta 12 átomos de carbono; o Y es un grupo funcional tetrazolilo; A es -(CH2)6-, cis-CH2CH=CH2(CH2)6- o -CH2C::C-(CH2)3-, en la que 1 o 2 átomos de carbono pueden ser sustituidos con S u O; o A es -(CH2)m-Ar-(CH2)o- en la que Ar es interarileno o heterointerarileno, la suma de m y o es desde 1 a 4, y en la que un CH2 puede ser sustituidos con S u O; B es C=O, CH2, CHOH, CHCl, CHF, CHBr, o CHCN; G ES OH o H; y D es arilo o heteroarilo. Composicion líquida para uso oftálmico que comprende dichos compuestos y los compuestos correspondientes.
