Abstract

A lower connection piece joins the well pipe with the chamber, and an upper communication piece joins the adjustable flotation chamber with an end piece of the well. The adjustable thrust of the chamber allows the operator to vary the height or depth of the end piece of the well and vary the vertical traction imparted to the drilling and production columns throughout all exploration and production operations. A system and method for egulating the height or depth of a wellhead are also revealed while the associated vertical and lateral forces remain approximately constant. It also reveals a variety of well insulation pieces, side stabilizers and tie-down means, as well as several methods to implement this.
