Abstract

Métodos y aparato para la ubicacion de la posicion en una red inalámbrica. En un aspecto, se provee un método que incluye determinar si un símbolo a ser transmitido es un símbolo activo, en donde el símbolo comprende una pluralidad de sub portadoras, y codificar informacion de identificacion sobre una primera porcion de sub portadoras si se determina que el símbolo es el símbolo activo. El método incluye también codificar informacion ociosa sobre una segunda porcion de sub portadoras si se determina que el símbolo no es el símbolo activo. En un aspecto, un aparato incluye logica de detector configurada para decodificar una pluralidad de símbolos para determinar informacion de identificacion que identifica una pluralidad de transmisores, y para determinar una pluralidad de estimaciones de canal asociadas con la pluralidad de transmisores. El aparato incluye también logica de determinacion de posicion configurada para calcular una posicion del dispositivo en base a la pluralidad de transmisores y la pluralidad de estimaciones de canal.
