Abstract
La presente se refiere a un proceso para preparar una composicion aglutinante bituminosa modificada con un polímero, ante la ausencia sustancial de agentes de entrecruzamiento, de la siguiente manera: calentando un componente bituminoso en un tanque agitado a una temperatura comprendida entre 185° y 221°C; agregando una composicion de copolímeros de bloques al componente bituminoso, mientras se agita el componente bituminosos, a fin de formar una mezcla homogénea del componente bituminoso y la composicion de copolímeros de bloques; y continuando con la agitacion de la mezcla homogénea, mientras se mantiene la temperatura entre 185° y 221° C, durante un lapso de 4 horas a 30 horas formando así una composicion aglutinante bituminosa modificada con un polímero, curada. La composicion de copolímeros de bloques utilizada en el proceso comprende un copolímero de dibloques, el cual comprende un bloque de un hidrocarburo monovinilaromático y un bloque de un dieno conjugado, que tiene un peso molecular máximo fluctuante entre 30.000 y 78.000 y un contenido de vinilo que varía desde el 35% hasta el 80% en mol, sobre la base de la cantidad de unidades monoméricas repetidas en el bloque de dieno conjugado, y opcionalmente, uno o más copolímeros de bloques que comprenden al menos dos bloques de hidrocarburo monovinilaromático y al menos un bloque de dieno conjugado, seleccionándose el copolímero de bloques entre copolímeros de tribloques lineales que tienen un peso molecular máximo que es 1,5 a 3,0 veces el peso molecular máximo del copolímero de dibloques, copolímeros de bloques acoplados con brazos multiples que tienen un peso molecular máximo que es 1,5 a 9,0 veces el peso molecular máximo del copolímero de dibloques, y mezclas de los mismos, donde cada copolímero de bloques tiene un contenido de vinilo que varía desde el 35 hasta el 80% en mol, sobre la base de la cantidad de unidades monoméricas repetidas en el bloque de dieno conjugado, donde tanto (i) como (ii) están presentes en la composicion de copolímeros de bloques, siendo la relacion de (i) a (ii) mayor que 1:1. La presente se refiere también a una alternativa a este proceso, una clase específica de composiciones y concentrados aglutinantes bituminosos y a una clase específica de composiciones de copolímeros de bloques.
