Abstract
Un proceso para remover compuestos azufre y dioxido de carbono de una corriente de gas, que incluye compuestos de azufre, incluidas sulfuro de hidrogeno y mercaptanos, el proceso incluye las etapas de: (a) lavar la corriente de gas con una solucion de lavado de amina acuosa, para remover sulfuro de hidrogeno, cualquier dioxido de carbono, y parte de los mercaptanos para obtener una primera corriente de gas purificado; (b) pasar la primera corriente de gas purificado a través de uno o más tamices moleculares, para remover más los mercaptanos para obtener una segunda corriente de gas purificado; (c) contactar la segunda corriente de gas purificado y una corriente de hidrogeno con un catalizador de hidrogenacion para obtener una tercera corriente de gas purificada; y (d) pasar la tercera corriente de gas purificada a través de uno o más lechos de guarda de sulfuro de hidrogeno para obtener gas purificado. La presente proporciona además un método para iniciar de dicho proceso.
