Abstract

Una composicion farmacéutica veterinaria, bajo la forma de un gel transmucosal, para proporcionar sedacion y analgesia en animales de gran tamano, tales como equinos y bovinos. El gel semisolido transmucosal de la presente comprende detomidina, o una sal de ésta aceptable para uso farmacéutico, como ingrediente activo. La composicion provee un inicio rápido de la actividad, al tiempo que tiene muy bajo potencial de irritacion de la mucosa oral.
