Abstract
Una planta de cultivo transgénica transformada por un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido relacionado con el estrés símil 1-aminociclopropan-1-carboxilato desaminasa (ACCDP), en donde la expresion de la secuencia del ácido nucleico en la planta de cultivo da por resultado el aumento de crecimiento de la raíz de la planta, y/o aumento del rendimiento, y/o aumento de tolerancia a estrés ambiental, comparado con la variedad de tipo salvaje de la plana. También se proveen productos agrícolas, incluso semillas, producidas por las plantas de cultivo transgénicas. También se provee un nuevo ACCDP aislado y nuevos ácidos nucleicos aislados que codifican ACCDP, y vectores y plantas transgénicas que lo contienen.
