Abstract
Un método para determinar si un evento de conexión entre una estación base y una unidad inalámbrica de transmisión recepción (WTRU) debe ser aceptado o rechazado, comprende medir el nivel de interfase I0 en una ranura de tiempo candidata; medir la pérdida de trayectoria L entre la estación base y la WTRU; medir la potencia de transmisión total P0 de la estación base; determinar el nivel de ruido térmico theta, determinar una relación entre senal e interferencia (SIR) promediada de desvanecimiento y calcular un índice R, donde el índice R está sobre un determinado umbral, el evento de conexión será aceptado y si la llamada está debajo del umbral, debe ser rechazada.
