Abstract

Un sistema y método para proveer servicios multidifusión a unidades inalámbricas de transmisión/recepción (WTRUs) mejora la vida útil de la batería y provee un uso más eficiente de los recursos de radio. A cada servicio, o un grupo objetivo para un servicio, le es asignado un identificador. El identificador está asociado con un puntero a la transmisión de datos. Cada WTRU busca el identificador para saber cuándo serán transmitidos los datos. Las WTRUs pueden recibir el puntero desde un número de ventanas de localización diferentes. La transmisión de los datos se produce después de que se transmite el último puntero para garantizar que todas las WTRUs objetivo reciban un puntero hacia los datos antes de la transmisión de los datos.
