Abstract
Un proceso y un aparato para hacer pasar un efluente de polimerización, que comprende polímero sólido, monómero sin reaccionar, diluyente y cantidades minoritarias de contaminantes, a una columna de destilación instantánea de alta presión donde se evaporan rápidamente la mayor parte de los componentes del fluido y donde se separa del volumen de los componentes evaporados del fluido, una corriente auxiliar que comprende diluyente y cantidades minoritarias de monómero. Dicha corriente auxiliar se somete a una eliminación de olefinas para dar una corriente esencialmente libre de olefinas que se recicla hacia un área de preparación de lodo catalizador. El volumen de los componentes evaporados del fluido se recicla directamente de vuelta a la zona de polimerización sin efectuar una costosa eliminación de olefinas, aunque opcionalmente se pueden llevar a cabo tratamientos para eliminar otros contaminantes. El polímero y el fluido que arrastra se hace pasar a una zona de evaporación instantánea de baja presión donde los fluidos se evaporan rápidamente, se comprimen y se combinan con los vapores provenientes del tanque de la columna de destilación instantánea de alta presión. Como la mayor parte de los fluidos se elimina en la columna de destilación instantánea de alta presión, se mantienen en un mínimo la compresión y el enfriamiento de los productos fluidos antes de la recirculación.A process and an apparatus for passing a polymerization effluent, comprising solid polymer, unreacted monomer, diluent and minor amounts of contaminants, to a high pressure instantaneous distillation column where most of the fluid components quickly evaporate and where an auxiliary stream comprising diluent and minor amounts of monomer is separated from the volume of the evaporated components of the fluid. Said auxiliary stream is subjected to a removal of olefins to give a stream essentially free of olefins that is recycled to a catalyst sludge preparation area. The volume of the evaporated components of the fluid is recycled directly back to the polymerization zone without costly olefin removal, although optionally treatments can be carried out to remove other contaminants. The polymer and the dragging fluid is passed to a zone of instantaneous evaporation of low pressure where the fluids evaporate quickly, are compressed and combined with the vapors from the tank of the column of instantaneous distillation column of high pressure. Since most of the fluids are removed in the high pressure instantaneous distillation column, compression and cooling of the fluid products are kept to a minimum before recirculation.
