Abstract

Un sistema que tiene una PLMN y una GW de IP de WLAN, una interfase Iur que provee traspaso entre una PLMN y la WIP-GW. El protocolo móvil de Internet (IP Móvil) provee administración de sesión y tunelización de datos entre la PLMN (agente de residencia) y la WLAN. La WIP-GW funciona como agente externo respecto de la PLMN. Los servicios son prestados por el MIP de la PLMN a través de DIÁMETRO para el registro, la autenticación y la administración de abonado, que funcionan dentro del HLR/HSS y la CGF en la PLMN. El uso de una sola arquitectura para soportar los escenarios inter-operativos flexibles es tal que la arquitectura menos la interfase Iur y MIP se torna una arquitectura inter-operativa flexible. La plataforma de facturación de la PLMN del UMTS se realiza a través de inter-operación DIAMETRO/UMTS. La autenticación se provee a través del HSS/HLR de la PLMN del UMTS. El concepto de arquitectura puede ampliarse para cubrir la inter-operación de otras tecnologías de acceso con el UMTS.
