Abstract
En un sistema de comunicacion inalámbrica que incluye una unidad inalámbrica de transmision/recepcion (WTRU) y al menos un Nodo B, un método y aparato son utilizados para habilitar selectivamente la recepcion de al menos un canal de senalizacion de enlace ascendente mejorado (EU) de enlace descendente (DL) establecido entre la WTRU y el/los Nodo/s B. Durante la operacion de un canal dedicado mejorado (E-DCH) la WTRU monitorea al menos un canal de senalizacion de EU DL establecido entre la WTRU y el/los Nodo/s B solamente cuando es necesario, en base al conocimiento de la WTRU de al menos un procedimiento estándar establecido. La WTRU coordina y consolida los requerimientos de recepcion de canal de senalizacion de DL de una pluralidad de procedimientos de distribucion de canal y/o de transmision de datos, llevados a cabo por la WTRU de acuerdo con el procedimiento estándar establecido. La WTRU determina si habilitar o no la recepcion de al menos un canal de senalizacion de DL específico en base a los requerimientos de recepcion del canal de senalizacion de DL consolidados.
