Abstract
Un método y aparato de comunicación inalámbrica para coordinar Nodos B durante handover("traspaso") para transmisión de enlace ascendente (EU) mejorada. En una forma de realización, un controlador de red de radio (RNC) inicia un soft handover ("traspaso con continuidad") inter-Nodo B. Una unidad inalámbrica de transmisión/recepción (WTRU) establece conexiones de comunicación con una pluralidad de Nodos B. Uno en particular de ,los Nodos B es designado como un Nodo B primario, y cada uno de los otros Nodos B es designado como un Nodo B no primario. El RNC informa a todos los Nodos B que el Nodo B particular es un Nodo B primario. El Nodo B primario programa transmisión EU y lleva a cabo soft handover durante ACK/NACK. En otra forma de realización, el RNC inicia el soft handover para una WTRU conectada a un Nodo B fuente. El RNC envía un temporizador de activación al Nodo B fuente para establecer el tiempo para el handover. Tantos paquetes de datos con configuración negativa previa (NACK) como sea posible son priorizados para retransmisión en el Nodo B fuente antes de que finalice el temporizador de activación.
