Abstract
Se proporciona una composicion para la salud osea que comprende una fraccion de proteína acídica de la leche, hidrolizados de una fraccion de proteína acídica de la leche o una combinacion de las mismas, donde la composicion no contiene caseinoglicomacropéptido (CGMP). La fraccion de proteína acídica puede ser derivada de un componente de la leche, tal como el suero, los hidrolizados de una fraccion de proteína acídica pueden ser derivados de un componente de la leche, tal como el suero o una combinacion de las mismas. Preferiblemente, las composiciones son producidas utilizando cromatografía de intercambio de aniones, y con mayor preferencia, cromatografía de intercambio de iones. Preferiblemente una composicion comprende 70% en peso o más de proteínas de las cuales el 80% en peso o más, y preferiblemente el 90% en peso o más, comprende osteopontina y peptonas de proteosa. Preferiblemente, las peptonas de proteosa comprenden péptidos generados a partir de la caseína mediante la accion de plasmina e incluyen una o más proteínas seleccionadas del grupo que comprende peptona de proteosa 5 (PP5), peptona de proteosa 8-lento (PP8-lento), peptona de proteosa 8-rápido (PP8-rápido) así como peptona de proteosa no caseína 3 (PP3). Preferiblemente, las proteínas en la composicion tienen una distribucion del peso molecular de 3.000 a 65.000 medida mediante SDS-PAGE. Preferiblemente el contenido de ácido siálico de una composicion está en la gama del 0,8% al 6.5%. Preferiblemente el contenido de fosfato de una composicion en la gama del 0.5% al 3%. Preferiblemente las composiciones derivan de leche entera recombinada o fresca, leche descremada recombinada o fresca, leche en polvo entera reconstruida o descremada, concentrando la proteína láctea (MPC), aislado de proteína láctea (MPI), aislado de proteína del suero (WPI), concentrado de proteína del suero (WPC), suero, suero en polvo reconstituido o derivado de cualquier fuente de procesamiento lácteo o derivado de los permeados obtenidos mediante ultrafiltracion y/o microfiltracion o una cualquiera o más de estas cargas de alimentacion. Preferiblemente una composicion comprende además, cantidades de aceptacion fisiologica de calcio, magnesio, vitamina C, vitamina D, vitamina E, vitamina K2 y/o zinc.
