The composition has a high oxidation stability, a reduced deposit formation and is capable of causing a good improvement in fuel economy. The methods for stabilizing against oxidative degradation or for improving the fuel economy of a lubricating composition, wherein said composition comprises a base stock having a kinematic viscosity at 100 degree C (KV100) of 2 cSt at 20 cSt (2 x 10-6 at 20 x 10-6 m2 / sec) and a saturated content of at least 85%, comprise adding to the base stock an effective amount of the antioxidant comprising the oil-soluble trinuclear organomolibdene compound and at least one other selected compound between a phenolic compound and an amino compound.
