Abstract
Un pilote de hoja de metal comprende una seccion de pared formada en frío hacia los bordes laterales extendiéndose longitudinalmente de los cuales se aseguran secciones de agarre formadas en caliente. Las secciones de agarre pueden ser producidas mediante laminado en caliente, extrusion u otro proceso de formacion en caliente y preferiblemente son soldadas a los bordes laterales de la depresion o alma mediante, por ejemplo soldadura láser, por arco sumergido o por resistencia. La formacion en frío de la seccion de pared a partir de placa de acero puede ser efectuada en una prensa, o pasando la placa de acero entre, o alrededor de, laminadores de doblado en frío. El invento incluye también un método para formar el pilote.
