Abstract

Se describe un sistema hidráulico de dirección servo-asistida para usar en un vehículo con la finalidad de eliminar pérdidas de energía cuando no se requiere dirección servo-asistida. El sistema hidráulico de dirección servo-asistida incluye una polea (12) accionada por un cigüenal de motor en el vehículo, un embrague (16) conectado operativamente a dicha polea, una bomba hidráulica (14) conectada operativamente al embrague, medio de control (18, 34, 36) para acoplar y desacoplar el embrague (16) con la polea (12) y la bomba hidráulica (14) para proveer potencia hidráulica al sistema. El sistema también incluye un acumulador hidráulico (22) para proveer presión de sistema durante períodos cortos antes que el embrague de bomba pueda ser acoplado en respuesta a una senal de entrada inducida por la dirección.
