Abstract

Proceso para elaborar una sal de un ácido carboxílico. El proceso comprende poner un catalizador en contacto con una mezcla alcalina que comprende alcohol primario. En una realización, el catalizador comprende un soporte de metal (preferentemente un soporte de metal esponjoso que comprende por ejemplo un 10% en peso aproximadamente) que posee una fase activa que contiene cobre sobre la superficie de la misma y hierro como modificador del catalizador. El soporte es resistente a la deformación bajo las condiciones de una reacción de deshidrogenación. También se refiere a catalizadores que contienen níquel que poseen una fase activa que contiene cobre y hierro como modificador del catalizador que se puede utilizar, por ejemplo, en el proceso anterior. La presente se refiere además a procesos para elaborar dichos catalizadores.
