Abstract
Se describe un portador de grabación que posee una pista servo que indica una pista de información para grabar bloques de información, cuya pista servo tiene una variación de un parámetro físico, una así llamada fluctuación. La fluctuación es modulada para codificar la información del portador de grabación, tal como direcciones. La pista servo es subdividida en partes moduladas en las cuales la frecuencia y/o fase de la variación se desvía de la frecuencia de la fluctuación y partes no moduladas. La pendiente de la fluctuación es sustancialmente continua en transiciones entre las partes moduladas y no moduladas usando fluctuaciones (25, 26, 27, 28) comenzando en la máxima o mínima de la fluctuación en la primera parte de las partes moduladas.
