Abstract
Una toalla sanitaria que incluye una sección absorbente de líquidos para absorber exudado corporal y un componente de extensión respirable adyacente a la porción posterior de la sección absorbente de líquidos; el componente de extensión respirable es preferiblemente libre de material absorbente y tiene una velocidad de transmisión de vapor de humedad de por lo menos aproximadamente 3000 g/m2/día para permitir que la humedad atrapada entre el componente de extensión respirable y la piel de la usuaria se evapore. Reivindicación 1: Una toalla sanitaria para colocarse en una porción de la entrepierna de una prenda interior de una usuaria, que comprende: a) una sección absorbente de líquidos para absorber exudado corporal, dicha sección absorbente de líquidos incluyendo un eje longitudinal, una porción anterior y una porción posterior, dicha sección absorbente de líquidos incluyendo: i) una capa de cubierta permeable a fluidos, ii) un sistema absorbente debajo de dicha capa de cubierta permeable a fluidos, iii) una capa de barrera impermeable a líquidos debajo de dicho sistema absorbente; b) un componente de extensión respirable que se proyecta desde dicha sección absorbente de líquidos, dicho componente de extensión respirable incluyendo un borde proximal y un borde distal separado de dicho borde proximal por una distancia de por lo menos aproximadamente 2.5 cm, dicho borde proximal estando unido a dicha sección absorbente de líquidos; c) dicho componente de extensión respirable estando adyacente a la porción posterior de dicha sección absorbente de líquidos; d) dicho componente de extensión respirable teniendo por lo menos una porción de su extensión que manifiesta una velocidad de transmisión de vapor de humedad de por lo menos aproximadamente 300 g/m2/día; e) dicho componente de extensión respirable teniendo una capacidad de absorción promedio que es sustancialmente menor que la capacidad de absorción promedio de dicha sección absorbente de líquidos.
