Abstract
La presente se refiere en general a composiciones terapéuticas para el tratamiento y/o profilaxis de condiciones de enfermedad intestinal en animales ypájaros causadas o exacerbadas por Lawsonia intracellularis o similar, u otros microorganismos relacionados. En particular, suministra un gen nuevo derivado deLawsonia inracellularis que codifica un péptido, polipéptido o proteína SodC inmunogénico que es particularmente util como antígeno en una preparacion paravacuna para conferir inmunidad humoral contra Lawsonia intracellularis y patogenos relacionados en huéspedes animales. La presente también está orientada amétodos para el tratamiento y/o profilaxis de dichas condiciones de enfermedad intestinal y a agentes de diagnostico y procedimientos para detectar LawsoniaIntracellularis o similar, u otros microorganismos relacionados.
