Abstract

En una red de radiocomunicaciones, se provee un sistema y un método que permite a un usuario que llama seleccionar un proveedor de servicio decomunicaciones interurbanas de larga distancia. El sistema incluye una terminal movil, un centro de conmutacion movil servidor (S-MSC) para servir a laestacion movil, y un centro de conmutacion movil de cabecera (G-MSC) para recibir una llamada entrante realizada por un usuario que llama a la estacion movil.El sistema también incluye por lo menos un proveedor de servicio de comunicaciones interurbanas (IXC) que permite la comunicacion entre el S-MSC y el G-MSC, undetector de itinerancia para detectar una condicion de itinerancia de la terminal movil, y un modulo de tarificacion para informar al usuario que llama sobrela condicion de itinerancia de la terminal movil. El método comienza al recibir en el G-MSC una llamada entrante realizada por un usuario que llama a laterminal movil servida por el S-MSC, determinando el IXC asociado con el usuarioque llama y detectando una condicion de itinerancia asociada a la estacionmovil. El método continua al informar al usuario que llama sobre la condicion de itinerancia, determinando si el usuario que llama acepta los cargos poritinerancia asociados con la condicion de itinerancia y completando la llamada entre el G-MSC y el S-MSC sobre el IXC si el usuario que llama acepto los cargospor itinerancia.
