Abstract
Un método para obtener una utilizacion optima para un medio de transmision compartido para tráfico multimedia, cumpliendo con los requerimientos delservicio de calidad (QoS) del usuario de las sesiones de tráfico a través de medios de transmision endonde la máxima pérdida de paquetes de informacionaceptada y la máxima demora de transmision aceptada convergen, el método que comprende una construccion de un histograma conteniendo los arribos de unidades deinformacion para cada tipo de unaplurali dad de sesiones, el histograma representa los arribos de unidades de datos por un predeterminado intervalo de tiempo;realizando un repliegue de los valores del histograma que representa dichas sesiones para estimar un histograma conjunto quecomprend e los arribos de unapluralidad de sesiones, estimando la probabilidad de pérdida de algunas unidades de informacion de una sesion entera, y ajustando al menos una de las tasas debit y demora de transmision para obtener una utilizacion de unmedio de transmision optimo.
