Abstract

Se describe la preparacion y el uso de fragmentos de ácidos nucleicos codificadores de enzimas modificadoras de ácidos grasos asociadas con la formacion dedobles enlaces conjugados o subfragmentos funcionalmente equivalentes de los mismos. Los genesquiméricos que han incorporado dichos fragmentos de ácidosnucleicos o subfragmentos funcionalmente equivalentes de los mismos o complementos de los mismos y secuencias reguladoras adecuadas se pueden utilizar paracrear plantas transgénicas que poseenperfiles lipídicos alterados.
