Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para producir una leva a encajar sobre un árbol hueco constituyendo un árbol de levas. Con lafinalidad de lograr una leva de funcionamiento seguro, se propone inventivamente que como material para las levas se seleccione un acero en el cualel carbono sea soluble como cementita en perlita y martensita o esté presente como carburo mixto fino, siendo templado superficialmente la leva yajustándose durante el revenido la dureza de base en la zona entre 25 y 40 HRC, siendo a continuacion templada superficialmente la leva en un procesode calentamiento de dos etapas por templado inductivo mediante frecuencia (10-35 kHz); siendo interrumpido después de la etapa de precalentamiento laaplicacion de calor durante un lapso de 0,3-1,5 segundos y a continuacion de la aplicacion del calor de calentamiento previo calentada la pistade rodadura de leva mediante frecuencia media de tal manera que se ajuste una profundidad de capa superficial templada enel centro de la pista derodadura que importa entre como mínimo 0,5 mm y como máximo 2,0 mm con respecto al círculo primitivo de la leva y a los flancos de leva y como máximo 2,2 mmcon respecto a la cabeza de leva, siendo enfriada bruscamente la levapor pulverizacion, es decir en un lapso comprendido en la zona de los milisegundosdespués de la finalizacion del procedimiento de calentamiento mediante fluido de enfriamiento.
