Abstract

Un método para estimar la SNR para una pluralidad de portadoras moduladas con informacion digital, en el que dicha informacion digital incluye baudios dedatos y baudios de entrenamiento, que comprende las etapas de: recibir la pluralidad de portadora s; determinar una primera SNR para el baudio de datos,determinar una segunda SNR para el baudio de entrenamiento; comparar por lo menos una de dicha primera SNR y dicha segunda SNR a criterios de seleccionpredeterminadas; y seleccionar una de dicha p rimera SNR y de dicha segunda SNR en base a la etapa de comparacion. En la realizacion preferida, las portadorasson procesadas para producir una salida de compensador para cada una de las portadoras, y la salida del compensador es procesada para prod ucir una decision desímbolos para cada una de las portadoras. La salida del compensador es substraída de la decision de símbolos cuando un baudio de datos es recibido paraproducir un primer valor de diferencia, y el primer valor de diferencia es elev ado al cuadrado para producir una primera estimacion de senal al ruido. Lasalida del compensador es también substraída de datos de entrenamiento predeterminados cuando un baudio de entrenamiento es recibido para producir un segundovalor de diferencia , y el segundo valor de diferencia es elevado al cuadrado para producir una segunda estimacion de senal a ruido. También se incluye unaparato que efectua el método arriba senalado.
