Abstract

El cemento de brushita para propositos quirurgicos comprende un primer componente que comprende un fosfato básico de calcio, un segundo componente quecomprende un fosfato acídico, un tercer componente que comprende agua, y un cuarto componente que co mprende una fuente de magnesio utilizada para estabilizarel producto final de la reaccion de fraguado entre los componentes. La solubilidad de la fuente de magnesio es menor que 100 g/l. Los componentes estánelegidos en cantidades tales que (i) el pH de la pasta de cemento durante el fraguado es menor que 6,0; y (ii) el producto final de la reaccion de fraguadocomprende dihidrato de fosfato [CaHPO42H2O].
