Abstract

La presente invencion provee nuevos genes del género viral leporipox que codifican nuevas proteínas inmunomoduladoras . La presente invencion proveetambién composiciones terapéuticas que contienen estos nuevos polipéptido y métodos para uso en el tratamiento de una variedad de desordenes inflamatorios yautoinmunes. En una realizacion preferida, la presente invencion provee métodos para producir los nuevos polipéptidos inmunomoduladores en una formasustancialmente pura. En otra realizacion preferida , la invencion provee métodos para tratar individuos a los que se diagnosticaron desordenes autoinmunes oinflamatorios mediante terapia genica. En otra realizacion preferida, los métodos y composiciones de la presente invencion pueden usarse paratratar cáncer.Finalmente la invencion provee métodos para identificar aislar polipéptido adicionales inmunomoduladores de virus leporipox.
