Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un aparato para controlar la operacion de un actuador neumático y un actuador neumático que tiene dicho mecanismo decontrol. Más particularmente, el aparato de control del actuador de la presente invencionincluy e una cubierta montada a un recubrimiento angosto del extremodel actuador, una válvula solenoide colocada dentro de la cubierta y una válvula de control de gas que controla el gas presurizado admitido y descargadodel actuador por laoperacion de la válvula. La válvula de control de gas actua en respuesta a la válvula solenoide y esta montada a la cubierta.Preferentemente, el aparato de control incluye un mecanismo de indicacion de posicion, colocado dentro de lacubierta, el cual determina una posicionpreviamente especificada de la válvula en respuesta al movimiento de por lo menos uno y preferentemente dos probadores del actuador movibles que seextienden desde el recubrimiento angosto del actuadorhasta adentro de la cubierta. La válvula de control de gas es una válvula de carrete que escontrolada neumáticamente por la válvula solenoide. El mecanismo de indicacion de posicion incluye un interruptor mecánico o un interruptor inductordeproximidad, determinand o cada uno de dichos probadores dela ctuador la posicion de un extremo de cada probador del actuador que son operados cada uno por unextremo del probador del actuador conforme se mueve dentro de la cubierta, en respuestaal movimiento del actuador.
