Abstract

Se describe un mecanismo interruptor de corriente para celdas ic electroquímicas. Un mecanismo interruptor de corriente activado en formatérmica (38) se integra a un conjunto del capacete (10) de una celda electroquímica. Elmec anismo de respuesta térmica (38) incluye, de preferencia,un disco bimetálico de flotacion libre (40) o un miembro de aleacion de memoria de forma, el cual se deforma cuando se lo expone a una temperatura elevada,provocando la interrupcion de uncamin o eléctrico dentro del conjunto del capacete. Esto evita que la corriente circule a través de la celda y desconectaen forma efectiva la operacion de la misma. El conjunto del capacete puede incluir un mecanismo de respuesta a lapresion (4 8) que se factura cuandoexiste una presion extrema de gas. El gas se deja escapar desde el interior de la celda hacia el medio externo a través de una serie de aberturas de venteo(63, 67) practicadas dentro del conjunto del capacete.
