Abstract

Un dispositivo de suministro que tiene una primer cámara que contiene un agente osmotico, una membrana que forma una pared de la primera cámara y através de la cual fluido es absorbido por osmosis, una segunda cámara que contiene un agenteb eneficioso que debe ser administrado, y un piston movibleque separa las dos cámaras. En comunicacion de fluido con la segunda cámara hay un orificio que comprende una válvula de hendidura. En la presencia de presion,el agente beneficioso pasaforzada mente por la hendidura y abre un canal para el suministro del agente beneficioso y produce flujo. Debido a que la hendidurapermanece cerrada en la ausencia de flujo (o cuando la presion está por debajo de la presion requerida para abrirla hendidu ra) el reflujo de fluidos externoses eliminado cuando la hendidura está cerrada, lo que impide que el agente beneficioso contenido en la segunda cámara sea contaminado por fluidosexternos. Además, la difusion hacia adelante delagente beneficios o que sale de la cápsula es impedido cuando la válvula está cerrada. La válvula dehendidura se abre unicamente con la dimension requerida para permitir el flujo generado por el régimen de bombeo osmotico. Las válvulas dehendidura permitentambién que se abra un paso de flujo alrededor de cualquier obstruccion ocurrida en a vávlvula de hendidura pra impedir los atascamientos.
