Abstract

Se describe un proceso para el tratamiento de fibras celulosicas usando un hidroxido de metal alcalino. En primer lugar el proceso prepara las fibrascelulosicas como una mezcla de alta consistencia con agua y luego agrega un hidroxido de metal alcalino. El proceso de alta consistencia es bastanteefectivo y se ha obsevado que produce fibras celulosicas que son tratadas en forma esencialmente uniforme. También se describe una lámina manualpreparada a partir de las fibras celulosicastratadas para ser usada en productos absorbentes descartables.
