Abstract
La invencion es un poliol de poliéter de peso molecular alto preparado por la reaccion de uno o más compuestos que tienen uno o más compuestos de hidrogenoactivo con uno o más oxidos de alquileno en la presencia de un catalizador que comprende calcioque tiene contraiones de carbonato y alcanoato C6-10 en unsolvente o dispersante que no contiene átomos de hidrogeno activo. El poliol de poliéter preparado preferiblemente tiene un peso equivalente de desde 1000 a20.000, una polidispersidad de 1.3o menos y un nivel de catalizador residual de desde 0 a 2000 parte por millon (ppm). En otra realizacion de la invencion esun proceso para preparar tales polioles de poliéter de peso molecular alto. El proceso comprende primero, contactar uno o más compuestos que tengan uno o másátomos de hidrogeno activo con uno o más oxidos de alquileno en la presencia de un catalizador. El catalizador comprende calcio que tiene contraiones decarbonato y un alcanoato C6-10 en un solvente, donde el solvente nocontiene átomos de hidrogeno activo. La mezcla es expuesta a condiciones en las cuales losoxidos de alquileno reaccionan con el compuesto que contiene más que un átomo de hidrogeno activo tal que un poliol de poliéter se prepara que tiene unequivalente de peso de desde 1.000 a 20.000, una polidispersidad de 1.3 o menos y un nivel de catalizador residual de desde 0 a 1000 (ppm).
