Abstract
En un sistema de comunicacion que incluye un numero de estaciones base (102, 104, 106) para atender estaciones moviles (108) presentes en el sistema, laposicion de una estacion movil durante una llamada de voz en progreso es determinada por medio dela realizacion de mediciones de tiempo o ángulo usando unasenal de posicionamiento entre la estacion movil y un numero requerido de estaciones base. Los medios (138, 152) son provistos para detectar la actividad devoz en la llamada de voz en progreso, los medios adicionales (111, 138, 152, 142) son provistos para que la voz sincronice la transmision de la senal deposicionamiento con una parte de la llamada de voz en progreso que tiene baja o nula actividad de voz.
