Abstract

Artículos absorbentes descartables que contienen una cantidad efectiva de un aceite esencial destinado a controlar los olores asociados con los fluidoscorporales. La invencion es particularmente util en los artículos utilizados para controlar la orina y los fluidos menstruales. El aditivo unico provee tantoun aroma agradable como una actividad antimicrobiana. Se describe además un método para producir el artículo absorbente descartable con propiedades mejoradas,que comprende: a) proveer un material absorbente; b) proveer un material permeable a los líquidos; c) proveer un material impermeable a los líquidos; d)envolver (encasing) el material absorbente con los materiales permeable a los líquidos e impermeable a los líquidos; y e) poner en contacto por lo menos uno delos siguientes: el material absorbente, el material permeable a los líquidos, y el material impermeable a los líquidos, o una combinacion de los mismos, conuna cantidad de aceite esencial que es efectiva para proveer un aroma e inhibir el desarrollo microbiano.
