Abstract
Consiste en hacer reaccionar los compuestos de formula general (II) donde R significa hidrogeno, halogeno, alquilo C1-4 o alcoxi C1-4,opcionalmente sustituido por fenil o por halogeno, con formaldehídoy un catalizador básico seguido dedeshidratacion con lo cual se obtienen las 3-(hidroximetil)cromen-4-onas de formula general (I) donde Rtiene igual significado que en (II).
