Abstract

Se provee un instrumento electroquirurgico para el tratamiento de tejido en la presencia de un medio fluido conductor de electricidad. El instrumentocomprende un mango del instrumento (10), un electrodo para tratamiento de tejido (12) en un extremo distante del mango para cortar electroquirurgicamenteporciones de tejido en un campo quirurgico, un medio de morcelacion para reducir electroquirurgicamente el tamano de las porciones de tejido cortadas, y unmedio de remocion para remover las porciones de tejido morceladas. El instrumento tiene una porcion perforada (20a) a través de la cual el medio de remocionpuede aspirar materia de la region que rodea el electrodo para tratamiento de tejido (12). El medio de remocion comprende un canal formado dentro del mango delinstrumento (10) y que parte de la porcion perforada (20a). El electrodo para tratamiento de tejido (12) es movible cíclicamente con respecto al extremodistante del mango (10), y constituye el medio de morcelacion.
