Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento que comprende polimerizar unidades repetitivas derivadas de un componente ácido que comprende ácidotereftálico y ácido naftalen dicarboxílico y por lo menos un glicol en presencia de menos de aproximadamente 10 ppm de carbonato de sodio y entreaproximadamente 10 y aproximadamente 60 ppm de fosforo. Los poliésteres formados a través del procedimiento de la presente invencion exhiben claridad y colorsorprendentemente buenos.
