Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un método para predecir una propiedad física de un material hidrocarburáceo residual que comprende los pasos de:a. seleccionar un conjunto de materiales hidrocarburáceos de diferente calidad; b. determinar unapr opiedad física de los materiales hidrocarburáceosresiduales, por una medición convencional; c. medir los espectros de infrarrojo (próximo) de los materiales hidrocarburáceos residuales; d.seleccionar en la región espectral, un rango delon gitudes de onda y usar los valores de absorbencia medidos en estas longitudes de onda como un dato deingreso para el análisis estadístico multivariado o una red neural; e. correlacionar los valores de absorbencia obtenidos con lapropiedad física,según se determina en b), por medio de un análisis estadístico multivariado o una red neural y generar un modelo de predicción; y subsiguientemente f.aplicareste modelo de predicción a los espectros de infrarrojo (próximo),tomados bajo las mismas condiciones para materiales hidrocarburáceos residuales de unapropiedad física desconocida, proporcionando de este modo la propiedad física del material residual hidrocarburáceo desconocido.
