Abstract

Se prepararon espumas de poliuretano sopladas por completo con agua, de muy baja densidad, muy suaves, mediante la reacción de un prepolímero terminado conisocianato con un exceso estequiométrico de agua desde 30% hasta 150%. Las espumas tienendensidades de moldeo de menos de o iguales a 1,5 libras/pies3 ysuavidad según se mide por ILD al 25% de menos de o igual a 15 libras, conservando aún una excelente elasticidad, resistencia al desgarramiento yelongación. Las espumas sonadecu adas para utilizarse en aplicaciones de amortiguamiento tales como aquéllas que tradicionalmente emplean materialsintético de relleno de poliéster.
