Abstract
Unos implantes producen un alivio de la presión de una región del tallo encefálico dentro del cráneo de un sujeto con un servomecanismo neuroendocrino.La presión es provocada por la compresión de la región por un vaso sanguíneo. Se obtiene ela livio insertando un novedoso implante puente neurovascular entreel vaso sanguíneo y la región para mantener el alivio de la presión. El servomecanismo neuroendocrino responde al alivio de la presión sobre la región,causando una mejoría deuna enfermedad. Un servomecanismo neuroendocrino puede incluir el páncreas del sujeto, y el alivio de la presión produce una mejoríade la diabetes mellitus no insulinodependiente. El implante puente neurovascular puede consistir en unimpl ante de plástico trituradopreconfigurado, hecho de politetrafluoroetileno, o un implante termoplástico preconfigurado, hecho de un material a base de poliuretano con una temperaturade transición vítrea de entre 20°C y 60°C y una banda detransició n de aproximadamente 8°C.
