Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para la fabricación de paneles de densidad media a partir de fibras de cáscara de semilla de girasol y unaplaca obtenida por dicho método. Hasta ahora la principal aplicación de este subproducto era suempleo como combustible para la obtención de energíanecesaria para el mismo proceso de producción de aceite,con lo cual se consumía solo una parte del mismo, como también se utiliza en menor grado como cama decriadero de aves. Debido a que la fibrad e este subproducto vegetal, que es digestible y tiene una longitud similar a las de ciertas maderas, revelaba quela cáscara de la semilla era una potencial materia prima para la producción de placas de aglomerado similares a la madera. Deestas placas las más conocidasson las placas estructurales (placas de estructura orientada) que reemplaza a la madera terciada, las placas de yeso, que es una mezcla de fibras y yeso quereemplazan a los materiales antes usados en los tabiques deconstruc ción y las placas de mediana densidad,que reemplaza a las tablas de madera sólida.Estudiospreliminares demostraron que el empleo de esta biomasa de cáscara de girasol para reemplazar la madera, usando el procedimiento tradicional, nodieronresult ado por no haber obtenido las características mínimas necesarias en el producto final. El objeto principal de la invención es un método para lafabricación de paneles de densidad media a partir de fibras de las cáscaras de semillasde girasol que comprende las etapas de a) clasificar las cáscaras desemillas de girasol dentro de los tamanos deseados, b) inyectar la resina en una línea de resinado, c) secar la mezcla y d) prensarla en forma de placa,cuyanovedad consiste enque comprende los pasos de vaporizar a presión las cáscaras resultantes de la primera clasificación (a) para facilitar el posterior
