Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a un método para detectar la existencia o medir la concentración de bacterias viables totales en una muestra de prueba de unproducto alimenticio. Se provee un medio que contiene hasta 3 sustratos de enzimas diferentesde manera tal que cada uno posea una fracción nutriente yuna fracción detectable vinculadas entre sí. Cuando un substrato es hidrolizado por una enzima bacteriológica, para crear una fracción detectable separada,ocasiona o produce una senal perceptible. Estos substratos producen senales perceptibles cuando cualquiera de una enzima fosfatasa, una enzima glicosidasao un enzima peptidasa está presente en un medio.
