Abstract

Se describe la prevención de corrosión e incrustación sobre las superficies de tuberías metálicas, intercambiadores de calor, y los semejantes, las cualesestán en contacto con aguas de enfriamiento industriales, y en particular aguas de enfriamientoindustriales que contienen bajos niveles de dureza. Laprevención de la corrosión es controlada al utilizar una cantidad inhibidora de corrosión de una composición que incluye un silicato de metal alcalino,un ácidohidroxicarboxílico o sus sales solubles en agua, un organofosfonato, y un polímero soluble en agua, el cual actúa como un dispersante. Se alcanza unasuperior inhibición a la corrosión utilizando la composición de esta invención como inhibidor de la corrosión, en particular en sistemas de agua deenfriamiento que emplean metalurgia de acero con bajo contenido de carbono.
