Abstract
Aparato para efectuar la costura de un extremo de un recipiente E a un extremo abierto del cuerpo de un recipiente B, comprende una zapata (1) parasostener el cuerpo del recipiente, un cabezal de costura (2) para sostener el extremo E en su lugar sobre el cuerpo del recipiente B y ayudar a la zapata amantener el cuerpo del recipiente y el extremo uno contra otro, y una herramienta de costura anular (80) que posee dos perfiles anulares de costura(12, 13) en su superficie internaque rodea el extremo para doblar progresivamente porciones periféricas del cuerpo del recipiente y el extremojuntas para formar una costura. La herramienta anular de costura está montada en un porta-herramienta (8) y se proveen mediospara sostenerla e impulsar elporta-herramienta en forma orbital de forma tal que el eje de la herramienta de costura siga una trayectoria circular alrededor del eje del cabezal de costura.La herramienta de costura está montada en el aparato para quegire libremente alrededor de su eje de forma que cuando el perfil de costura se engancha conlas porciones periféricas del extremo del recipiente, pueda rodar libremente alrededor del extremo para formar la costura en forma progresiva (Figura 2).
