Abstract
Un método para producir un hierro fundido a partir de un conglomerado que contiene un agente reductor carbonoso y un oxido de hierro se lleva a cabo deforma extremadamente eficiente con una operacion simple. El conglomerado se suministra a un bano de hierro fundido o una escoria fundida sobre el banode hierro fundido para flotar sobre el bano de hierro fundido y/o la escoria fundida de forma que una parte o la mayor parte de la superficie delconglomerado de expone substancialmente a unaatmosfera de gas de alta temperatura en el horno para introduccion de un hierro reducido generadomediante la reduccion de oxido de hierro en el conglomerado.
