Abstract

El catalizador es paarticularmente util para preparar composiciones para revestimientoque tienen una vida util dealmacenamiento y que puede curarse a temperatura ambiente. Se describe además un método para usar una composicion que comprende un polímero que contienehidrosilos y un compuesto que contiene isocianato.A catalyst comprising the product of the reaction of: (a) the reaction product of a titanium, zirconium, hafnium or aluminum orthoester and a beta-diketone or beta-ketoster having the general formula where R1, R2 and R3 can independently selected from the group selected by hydrogen and groups of alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl and hydroxyalkoxyalkyl containing up to eight carbon atoms and (b) a complexing agent selected from a mercapto compound or an oxazolidine or a tetrahydro-oxazine having the general formula (A) or (B), respectively or their mixtures. The catalyst is particularly useful for preparing coating compositions that have a shelf life and can cure at room temperature. Further disclosed is a method of using a composition comprising a hydrosily-containing polymer and an isocyanate-containing compound.
